Terms of use

Welcome to the website of Hope Arise PLLC (“Hope Arise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this website, located at www.hopearisepllc.com (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, please do not use this Website.

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Website only. They do not replace or modify any clinical consent forms, treatment agreements, financial policies, privacy practices, telehealth agreements, hospitalization support agreements, or other documents that may apply to clients receiving services from Hope Arise.

1. Purpose of This Website

The purpose of this Website is to provide general information about Hope Arise PLLC, its counseling services, therapeutic approaches, policies, and resources.

Information provided on this Website is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. Although Hope Arise strives to provide accurate and current information, we do not guarantee that all information on the Website is complete, current, or applicable to your individual circumstances.

2. This Website Does Not Provide Therapy

Information available through this Website does not constitute psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, medical advice, or a therapeutic relationship.

Simply visiting this Website, submitting an online inquiry, completing a contact form, sending an email, or communicating through the Website does not establish a therapist-client relationship with Hope Arise.

A therapeutic relationship is established only after Hope Arise has determined that services are appropriate and the necessary intake, consent, and other required documentation has been completed.

3. No Emergency or Crisis Services Through the Website

This Website and its contact forms are not intended for emergency or crisis situations.

Hope Arise specializes in short-term, crisis-focused counseling; however, the Website is not continuously monitored for emergencies, and submitting a message does not guarantee an immediate response.

If you or someone else is experiencing an emergency, is in immediate danger, or may be at risk of harming themselves or someone else, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Do not rely on email, website forms, text messages, or other electronic communication with Hope Arise for emergency assistance.

4. No Guarantee of Services or Outcomes

Use of this Website does not guarantee that Hope Arise will be able to provide counseling services to you.

Services are provided based on clinical appropriateness, availability, professional judgment, applicable laws and regulations, and the policies of Hope Arise.

While Hope Arise is committed to providing effective, compassionate, and evidence-based care, no particular therapeutic outcome can be guaranteed.

Individual results vary based on numerous factors, including the nature and severity of the concerns being addressed, participation in treatment, individual circumstances, and other factors outside the control of Hope Arise.

5. Information About Counseling Services

Descriptions of counseling services, therapeutic approaches, treatment modalities, and other services presented on this Website are intended to provide general information about the services offered by Hope Arise.

Not every service, therapeutic approach, or intervention is appropriate for every client.

Hope Arise reserves the right to determine whether a particular service is clinically appropriate and whether Hope Arise is an appropriate provider for an individual's needs.

When a client's needs exceed the scope of outpatient services, Hope Arise may recommend a higher level of care or referral to another provider or facility.

6. Hospitalization Support & Care Coordination

Hope Arise may offer clients the opportunity to participate in a Hospitalization Support & Care Coordination Agreement.

This optional service is intended to provide additional support when a client's needs require or may require a higher level of care.

Hospitalization support may include assistance with identifying treatment resources, understanding the hospitalization process, communicating with treating facilities when appropriate authorization has been provided, and supporting the transition back to outpatient care.

Hospitalization support does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance by a particular treatment facility
  • A particular treatment decision
  • A specific length of hospitalization
  • Admission to a particular level of care
  • Access to information from a treating facility
  • That a facility will follow an outpatient recommendation
  • A particular clinical outcome

Communication with hospitals, treatment facilities, family members, or other individuals is subject to appropriate authorization, applicable law, and the policies and procedures of the treating facility.

Additional terms and fees may apply under a separate Hospitalization Support & Care Coordination Agreement.

7. Family Support

Hope Arise recognizes that mental health concerns and crises can affect an entire family. Family involvement may be incorporated into treatment when clinically appropriate and when appropriate consent or authorization has been obtained.

Information presented on this Website regarding family support does not create an obligation for Hope Arise to provide services to individuals who are not established clients.

8. Christian-Based Therapy

Hope Arise offers clients the option of incorporating Christian faith into the therapeutic process.

When selected by the client, Christian-based therapy may be provided through a biblical worldview and may incorporate biblical principles, Scripture, prayer, and spiritual reflection alongside appropriate clinical interventions.

Christian-based therapy is an optional service and is not required for clients receiving services from Hope Arise.

9. Private-Pay Services and Insurance Reimbursement

Hope Arise is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance companies directly.

Clients are responsible for payment of services according to the practice's current fee and financial policies.

When applicable, Hope Arise may provide a superbill containing information that a client may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Hope Arise does not submit insurance claims on behalf of clients, communicate with insurance companies regarding reimbursement, or guarantee that an insurance company will reimburse any portion of the cost of services.

Any reimbursement is determined solely by the client's insurance plan and applicable benefits.

Additional financial policies and payment terms may apply and are provided separately as part of the client intake process.

10. Website Communications

Information submitted through the Website, including contact forms, appointment inquiries, and other communications, should be limited to information necessary to respond to your request.

Because standard internet communications may not be completely secure, please do not submit highly sensitive or urgent clinical information through Website forms.

Submitting a contact form does not guarantee that a response will be received within a particular timeframe.

11. Third-Party Websites and Resources

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, organizations, resources, treatment facilities, crisis resources, or other external services.

These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only.

Hope Arise does not control, operate, or necessarily endorse third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, security, accuracy, or policies.

Your use of third-party websites is subject to the terms and policies of those websites.

12. Educational and Informational Content

Such information should not be considered a substitute for individualized professional counseling, medical care, psychiatric evaluation, or emergency services.

Mental health information can vary significantly based on an individual's circumstances. You should consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding questions about your own mental health or treatment needs.

Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hope Arise PLLC, its owners, clinicians, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Website or your violation of these Terms of Use.

19. Changes to These Terms

Hope Arise may update or modify these Terms of Use from time to time.

Updated Terms of Use will be posted on this Website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, except to the extent that applicable federal law provides otherwise.
